Matrix Design drew inspiration from the rich tea culture of Sichuan, a tradition that spans over two thousand years and is deeply ingrained in local life. The designers sought to create a space that would embody this cultural heritage while also serving as a tranquil retreat from the bustling world outside. The result is a sales office that feels more like a peaceful sanctuary, with every square meter thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of calm and tranquility.

The unique properties of Fengqi Chaoming lie in its successful fusion of traditional elements with modern design. The designers have created a space that feels timeless, using simple materials to achieve a profound spatial effect. The project, which covers a total of 250 square meters, was realized through a careful balance of traditional materials and modern industry. The designers faced the challenge of creating a dialogue between the application of old wood devices and new materials in a contemporary context. The design process began in February 2019 and was completed in November of the same year. The designers conducted extensive research into the tea culture of Shu, seeking to understand how it could be represented in a contemporary context. In recognition of its innovative design and cultural significance, Fengqi Chaoming was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021.
